Michael M. Lee
Mr. Lee is a founder of the Company. Mr. Lee has over 15 years of business experience in the areas of high tech development, marketing and corporate finance. Mr. Lee holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario.
Marcel Urbanc, C.A.
Marcel Urbanc is Chief Financial Officer of AlphaRx. Prior to joining AlphaRx, he served as Controller and then VP Finance & CFO of Oasis Technology Ltd., and VP Finance & CFO at Nelson Vending Technology. Mr. Urbanc also held positions at Household Financial Corporation and Arthur Andersen & Co.
Mr. Urbanc received his C.A. from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and holds a B.A.S and B.A. from York University. He is a strong supporter of environmental and community initiatives and has held numerous directorships, as well as being past Chairman of the Board of the JEK Slovenian Credit Union.
Joseph Schwarz, Ph.D.
Dr. Schwarz is the chief scientist at AlphaRx and has extensive experience in the research and development of controlled release drug delivery systems. His areas of expertise cover controlled delivery of drugs, colloidal and microcorpusculate drug delivery systems, submicron emulsions (SME), transdermal delivery (topical and systemic).
Dr. Schwarz has published more than 40 articles in various scientific journals and has written over 20 patents and patent applications. He is a graduated of Tomsk State University in Russia, and completed his Ph.D. thesis on 'Synthesis and properties of alpha-C-nitrogydrazones' in 1980.
Dr. Schwarz has worked with some of the worlds leading research companies including, D-PHARM, TEVA Pharmaceuticals Industries and PHARMOS Ltd in Israel, and the BIOTECHNOLOGY Research Institute in Moscow Russia.
Michael Weisspapir, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Weisspapir has extensive and successful experience in interdisciplinary research and development in experimental pharmacology, immunopharmacology, toxicology, neuroscience, cancer research, radiobiology and radiotoxicology.
Dr. Weisspapir's articles have been published in over 20 leading scientific publications. He is a graduate of Chelyabinsk State Medical Institute in Russia, and completed his Ph.D. thesis on 'Immunopharmacology of Mercaptobenzimidazole' in 1985
Prior to joining AlphaRx, Dr. Weisspapir held a variety of research positions at the University of Tel Aviv and Rabin Medical Center in Israel, and the University Health Network, University of Toronto in Canada.
